What A Challenge!

I don't know about you, but I love challenges! I'm a member on Tallyscrapper, and they have challenges on their site all the time, which I love. It really keeps me productive. The two layouts below were for a Sketch Challenge during their 3rd week of Survivor. The rules were to follow the sketch, use a calendar with wings, use the layered title "Everyday Life," and use 2008 in the right hand corner of the calendar.

This challenge was particularly hard for me. I have never done a layout using wings or a calendar. Oh, and I'm a stickler for scrapping events in order, and there is NO way I am anywhere near scrapping 2008 let alone the month of August. But I sharpened my whits and sat down to figure out what events in 2008 I wanted to document. Here is what I came up with. . . (keep reading). . .

This was a challenge!!!!! Remember?!? So guess what? I won 4th place!!!! That is 3 tiers below 1st! LOL But hey, I was still acknowledged. Oh, and I won a prize too! How fabulous is that! I won the New Heidi Swapp Winterfresh paper kit. Whoop! Whoop! Here some pics of the paper I won:
